The Chicago, Burlington & Northern Railroad's precancel is only known to exist on the roulette one cent battleship; the railroad was fully absorbed into the CB&Q in 1899, before the Bureau of Engraving and Printing began using hyphen-hole perforations. Joyce also marked this precancel as rare in his stockbook. In my experience I know of at least five examples. I assume there are a few more in the hands of collectors, perhaps more left for discovery.
